In this seminar, we’ll examine how salinity, sodicity, biofilm, bicarbonates, and other water-quality issues affect soils and landscapes. We’ll also cover how oxidation systems can be retrofitted to existing irrigation systems to improve water chemistry, infiltration, soil biology, and nutrient uptake.

The results of our 4 year research project for the U.S. Navy, examining the phenomenon of native landscape fire resistance, will be discussed, as well as actual case histories with photos.
