Seminar Description:
A successful irrigation system begins with understanding the available water supply. In this seminar, participants will learn how to evaluate water availability by working through a practical design capacity worksheet. The session will cover how to calculate system design capacity in gallons per minute (GPM), determine the available pressure at the point of connection (POC), and estimate the pressure at the worst point in the irrigation system.

By the end of the seminar, participants will have a repeatable process for determining whether an available water source can support their irrigation design and will be able to apply these methods to future irrigation projects.

Bill Millward

Bill comes to us with 40 years of Landscape experience. He got his start working at a landscape wholesale distributor. During this time, he completed two AS degrees at Cuyamaca College in Horticulture and Irrigation. Then accepted a District Sales Manager position with a major manufacture of irrigation equipment working on the East Coast and then later as Specification Manager in California. He then joined a PVC manufacturing company as a Technical Service Manager. From there 13 years as territory manager for a major manufacturer of drip irrigation equipment in southern California. Most recently, Bill accepted a National Sales Manager position for Rivulis Irrigation. For the last 15 years he has also taught Principles of Irrigation Design and Drip Irrigation at Mount San Antonio College. Bill has a BS degree in Landscape Irrigation Science from Cal Poly Pomona.
