Seminar Description:
Wireless technology is not new in commercial irrigation controls, but it has made significant advancements over the last decade, particularly for field valve and sensor applications. This presents opportunities in both new and retrofit applications. This session will explore the product solutions along with their costs and benefits, opportunities and limitations.

The integration of wireless technology into commercial irrigation systems is transforming how landscapes are managed across public, private, and institutional spaces. This session explores the latest wireless solutions used in commercial irrigation control; including field valves, flow and moisture sensors.

Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will gain insights into how wireless technologies are applied in diverse environments such as parks, campuses, sports fields, urban landscapes, green roofs, and remote or hard-to-access sites.
2. The session will highlight the key advantages of wireless systems, including reduced installation costs, faster deployment, improved scalability, real-time data access, and enhanced water-use efficiency through remote diagnostics and adaptive scheduling.
3. The presentation also offers a balanced review of common challenges and limitations, including signal interference, power supply constraints and the need for reliable network infrastructure. By examining real-world case studies and performance metrics, participants will leave with a practical understanding of how to specify, deploy, and manage wireless irrigation control systems effectively.
4. Intended for professionals seeking to modernize landscape management while optimizing resources, this session will equip attendees with actionable strategies for integrating wireless controls into both new and retrofit irrigation projects.
