Seminar Description:
Today’s irrigation challenges — tight water budgets, labor constraints, and rising accountability — demand systems that are smarter, more transparent, and easier to manage at scale. This session explores irrigation intelligence: the integration of centrally controlled irrigation systems, data, and workflows that enable managers to monitor, adjust, and document performance across sites with confidence.

We’ll demystify how these systems function, then link capabilities to sustainable outcomes: targeted water savings, improved plant health, reduction of truck rolls, and verifiable reporting. We’ll also discuss how evolving public sector purchasing requirements — including domestic sourcing mandates — are shaping specifications, procurement decisions, and lifecycle planning.

An industry guest will share real-world lessons learned — what to plan for, pitfalls to avoid, and practical strategies to build a resilient, compliant program. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how to evaluate, implement, and sustain an intelligent irrigation approach that aligns operations, sustainability goals, and procurement realities.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand how central irrigation systems work in practice and why these systems are becoming essential for modern landscape management.
2. Connect this technology to sustainability outcomes by translating system features into measurable water savings, healthier landscapes, and operational efficiency.
3. Navigate evolving purchasing requirements by discussing how public-sector mandates (e.g., domestic sourcing and manufacturing requirements) can influence specification and long-term system planning.
