Seminar Description:
This seminar will cover different landscape settings and the environments created by our urban development. We will cover the more popular trees being installed, we will evaluate their ability to grow in different scenarios. We will wrap up with trees specially adapted to urban environments.

Steve Jimenez

Steve is the son of Mexican immigrants, his dad started a landscape business and made sure everyone in the family lent a hand. Mowing and blowing since he was 10-years-old, Steve studied biology, chemistry and soils. After college, he spent 10 years with the City of Los Angeles as a soils engineer. After a decade of playing in the dirt, he returned to his roots and started working for Disneyland as a Tree Assessor. He is now an ISA Certified Arborist, an ISA Urban Forest Specialist, TRAQ qualified, TPAQ qualified, holds a QAL and is currently in graduate school pursuing a Ph.D. in plant and soil science.
