Seminar Description:
OSHA recordkeeping is often treated as a compliance task — but when used correctly, it becomes one of the most effective tools for preventing injuries. This session breaks down OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 requirements in a clear, practical way, tailored to landscape and maintenance operations.
Attendees will learn how to properly classify injuries, avoid common mistakes, and recognize patterns in incidents such as slips, trips, falls, heat illness, and equipment-related injuries. The session also introduces practical methods for using recordkeeping data to identify trends and drive proactive safety improvements.
Participants will leave with a clear understanding of OSHA requirements and a practical framework for using injury data to support prevention and operational decision-making.
Learning Objectives:
1. Distinguish between OSHA recordable and non-recordable incidents using OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 criteria
2. Accurately classify common workplace injuries and illnesses and avoid frequent recordkeeping errors
3. Analyze injury and illness data to identify trends and implement targeted prevention strategies
