Seminar Description:
Gophers and ground squirrels are some of the most damaging landscape pests and can cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to high value landscape, particularly turf. Join Trevor Watson as he discusses strategies for integrated approaches these burrowing rodents. Information will be provided on fumigation, rodenticide, trapping, and other approaches to gopher and ground squirrel management.

Trevor Watson
Trevor Watson is a Regional Technical Manager for Arborjet | Ecologel, covering the Mid-Atlantic region with a focus on turfgrass and plant health care systems. He works directly with lawn care operators, distributors, and sales teams to improve field performance through practical, science-backed solutions.
Trevor began his career in the lawn care industry at a young age and has spent over a decade working across service, operations, and technical roles. Prior to joining Arborjet | Ecologel, he served as National Agronomist for Lawn Doctor, where he supported more than 250 franchise locations nationwide. In that role, he developed agronomic programs, led technical training initiatives, and helped operators solve complex turf, weed, and soil-related challenges in diverse markets across the United States.
His expertise includes turfgrass fertility, weed and pest management, soil amendment strategies, and integrating biological and moisture management technologies into traditional lawn care programs. Trevor is especially focused on bridging the gap between research and real-world application, ensuring products and programs actually perform under field conditions.
Trevor holds a B.S. in Turfgrass Science from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Plant Biology from Rutgers University, where his graduate research focused on herbicidal control and competitiveness of false-green kyllinga in turfgrass systems.
He is a licensed pesticide applicator and is actively working toward Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg) designation. Trevor is passionate about helping operators grow their businesses through better agronomy, stronger product knowledge, and straightforward, results-driven decision making.
