Seminar Description:
Groundskeeping work environments are constantly changing, making hazard recognition a critical skill for preventing injuries. Many incidents occur not because hazards are unknown, but because they are not recognized in time.

This session focuses on building practical hazard recognition skills specific to landscape and groundskeeping operations. Attendees will learn how to identify high-risk conditions such as uneven surfaces, low-light environments, active work zones, and equipment-related hazards. Through real-world scenarios and field-based examples, participants will gain a clear, repeatable approach to identifying hazards and making safer decisions before incidents occur.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify common hazards associated with landscape and groundskeeping tasks, including environmental and operational risks
2. Apply situational awareness techniques to recognize changing conditions and emerging hazards in real time
3. Take proactive actions to prevent injuries related to slips, trips, falls, equipment use, and environmental exposure
