Salvador Hernandez Jr.
Sal is a California native. As a kid, he would mow lawns with his dad in Huntington Beach, CA. During his high school years, he lived in Anaheim and attended Western High School. Upon graduating high school, he joined the US Navy. While on active duty, he served aboard the USS Curts (FFG-38), PHIBCB-ONE, and EODMU-ONE. His most memorable deployment was to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009. While on active duty, Sal received his Surface Warfare, Seabee Combat Warfare, and Expeditionary Warfare. He was promoted to a Petty Officer 2nd class and was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Afghanistan Campaign Medal. Upon completion of his service, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an MBA with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Phoenix. Sal also holds an associate’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology from Coastline Community College. Sal’s passion for the Landscape industry was re-born and 2016 on which he founded Pacific Breeze Landscape, a company that focused on maintenance, but grew into a design and build only. Sal went back to school at Orange Coast College to master his horticultural, design, and masonry expertise. He is also ICPI certified paver installer and a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper. He currently serves on the board of the Orange County Chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) as 2021 president. When not busy working and volunteering his time, Sal enjoys dancing Salsa and Bachata, which is how he met his wife, Kathy. He also loves to surf in Bolsa Chica.
