Bingshan Wong
Bingshan Chen Wong is a California-licensed landscape architect and founder and creative director of "Between Mountain and Water," a boutique landscape architecture, urban planning and design studio based in Laguna Beach, California. Her studio collaborates with various landscape architecture firms and development companies in Southern California and Asia, offering high-quality design services that draw on the stories unique to each site to generate multilayered narratives that explore notions of memory, place, and ecology.
Before establishing her practice in 2012, Bingshan had worked as an associate at SWA Group's Laguna Beach office for over a decade. She also taught landscape architecture studios to undergraduate students at Cal Poly Pomona in 2018 and 2019.
Her work is driven by a deep love of nature and a respect for its power and beauty along with a profound appreciation for culture and urban vitality. She strives to balance these elements to create spaces that harmonize with their surroundings and elevate the human experience.
She holds a master's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign and a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from Tongji University in Shanghai, China.
