PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

PennBlue is a beautiful custom blend of Kentucky Bluegrass and Perennial Ryegrass. It provides a dense, rich looking, plush lawn which stays green throughout the year in most areas of California. It is deep green in color, with a fine textured, erect leaf blade that looks its best when mowed at heights of 1 1/2 inches or more. The rye seed component gives PennBlue a more lush appearance in the cooler seasons of the year, and provides more strength and durability than will be found with standard bluegrass lawns. It also has better resistance to shade and disease, but does not perform well under heavy foot traffic. PennBlue has a wide range of adaptability for many areas where beauty and aesthetics are the main selection criteria.
