Oldhamii Bamboo makes a wonderful specimen plant or an effective hedge for blocking second story residential or commercial buildings. The smaller Oldhamii will grow quickly after planted and you should have large columns in about three years. The tall and erect stalks are a dark rich green color. A Full day of sun to a half day of sun are suggested to keep this plant thriving. 5 gallons set 4' apart will yield a solid screen in 5-6 years. In 2 ½ years they can reach heights up to 15 feet.
