Potential clients are more likely to say “YES” and increase their projects’ budgets when the designer/builder attentively listens to what they want and need and can enroll them in a grand vision of what their space can become. Functional and delightful outdoor spaces don’t just magically happen, however. As a landscape contractor, you already know HOW to BUILD the elements of a plan; but to truly optimize the space and delight your client, you also need to know the WHY behind every decision you make in creating a great design plan.

GOOD DESIGN begins with becoming aware of the subtle things you haven’t noticed before and not only translating your ideas into a tangible plan but expressing your ideas in a way that your clients "Get It" - because you GET THEM! By learning to be aware, asking the right questions, and utilizing basic design principles, you can make your clients happier than they ever imagined while increasing your bottom line.

Learning Objectives:
1. Ask the right questions to understand your clients wants more than they do.
2. Utilize basic design principles to create plans that can significantly increase the scope of the project.
3. Learn the critical communication skills to gain the trust and respect of your client and sell your grand vision every time!
