Seminar Description:
The seminar will cover the general requirements for all employers to ensure that they are in compliance with OSHA regulations. The seminar will cover Illness Injury Prevention Plans, Hazardous Communications Plans (Hazcomm), Respiratory Protection and Fall Protection Plans. Also, the seminar will expand upon the most effective types of safety training programs. The seminar will touch upon the regulations specifically related to the Landscape and Grounds Management Profession.



Learning Objectives:
1. Learn the basic requirement required by OSHA for all employers.
2. Learn the liabilities for all employers if they do not adhere to the regulations.

Donald Bottger

Donald has been involved in the landscape industry for over 40 years. His history is that he has been a private company owner, as well a director of maintenance for large corporate facilities. Donald is a Certified Grounds Manager, a certified arborist and holds a license from the state of California for pesticide application. Donald has served as the safety chair on numerous corporation boards. Donald has been the Past-President for the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) and currently sits on its board of directors as the President Elect. Donald has received authorization from the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) as an authorized 30-hour outreach trainer. Donald has also received certification from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) in Occupational Safety and Health for General Industry.
