Last year's Landscape Expo - Long Beach educational conference was again a resounding success.

If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and expertise at The Landscape Expo – Long Beach to be held December 9 & 10 at the Long Beach Convention Center, please submit a prospectus using the form located here for a doc file or here for a pdf.
The deadline to submit your topic is May 15, 2020. Please see below for the submittal guidelines.
The Landscape Expo Seminar/Workshop Submittal Guidelines
Speakers should preferably have a background in academia; vendors with specific field experience are also encouraged to submit. No advertising of your product or business will be allowed as the purpose of the seminar is to educate landscape professionals in the industry and provide a well-balanced program. However, you may provide attendees with promotional materials at the end of your presentation.
We are looking for seminars that feature state-of-the-art topics, offer new looks at classic elements or provide hands-on-training. A main focus will be on the potential to engage and attract attendees. This year we are going to divide the topics according to levels: beginning, intermediate, and advanced.
Seminar attendees want to see more on these topics:
• Business Management
• Drought and Responsible Water Management
• Landscape Maintenance
• Native Plants
• New Technologies
• Pest Management
• Plant Selection
• Pool Building/Water Features
• Rainwater Harvesting
• Residential Design
• Soil Health
• Tree Care
• Turf Care
You may submit a request to speak on any of these topics, or any other topic you feel might be of interest to landscape contractors, designers, installers, or maintenance professionals. Each session should be 1.5 hours in length, including 10-15 minutes of valuable Q & A.
For 2020, we are accepting submissions through a two-phase process. Phase 1 includes:
• Contact Information
• Topic and level of seminar
• Target audience
• Seminar title and a brief paragraph describing the course.
• Learning objectives: Identify the learning objectives attendees will gain.
• Description of your qualifications and level of expertise
*Please note that we tend to reserve honorariums for academic professionals. If you require compensation, please submit your requests on the form.
Phase 2 includes:
• Brief biography: professional accomplishments such as previous talks, projects, awards and publications.
• Headshot image (does not need to be professional but needs to be up-to-date and at least 500 pixels).
If you are selected, you will be notified and will be asked to send additional information mentioned above in Phase 2. You will also be sent a Memorandum of Understanding to sign which will include an agreement to promote the Expo and your seminar.
Each speaker will be publicized and their affiliation, institution or company will receive publicity through profiles, press releases and course descriptions on TheLandscapeExpo.com.
